Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using MealBuddy ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

MealBuddy is a meal planning and nutrition tracking mobile application that provides:

• Personalized meal plans based on dietary preferences
• Recipe library with nutritional information
• Calorie and macro tracking
• Water intake logging
• Shopping list generation
• Progress tracking and analytics

Account Registration

Anonymous Access

• You may use MealBuddy anonymously without providing an email address
• Anonymous accounts are device-specific and data may be lost if you switch devices

Email Authentication

• You may optionally add an email and password to protect your account
• You may also link your account using Google or Apple Sign-In
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account

User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the App only for lawful purposes
• Not share false or misleading nutritional information
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or exploit the App
• Not share your account credentials with others
• Not use the App in any way that could harm or impair our services

Nutritional Information Disclaimer

• Nutritional data is based on publicly available databases and user-generated content
• We do not guarantee the accuracy of nutritional information
• The App is NOT a substitute for professional medical or nutritional advice
• Always consult with a qualified healthcare provider before making dietary changes
• We are not responsible for any health outcomes resulting from use of our meal plans or recipes

Intellectual Property

Our Content

• All recipes, images, design elements, and app features are owned by MealBuddy or licensed to us
• You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without permission

Your Content

• You retain ownership of any custom recipes or content you create
• By uploading content, you grant us a license to use, store, and display it in connection with the App
• You represent that you have the right to share any content you upload

Subscription and Payments

Free Features

• Basic meal planning, recipe browsing, and tracking features are free

Premium Features

• Premium subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
• Refunds are handled according to Apple's and Google's respective policies
• We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing with notice

Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect and use data as described in the Privacy Policy. You may delete your account and data at any time through the app settings.

Service Availability

• We strive to keep MealBuddy available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service
• We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications at any time
• We are not liable for any service interruptions or data loss

User-Generated Content

• Users may create and share custom recipes
• We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or is inappropriate
• You are solely responsible for the content you create and share

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• MealBuddy is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• We are not responsible for health outcomes, allergic reactions, or dietary decisions made using the App
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any) in the past 12 months

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MealBuddy, its developers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Any content you create or share

Health and Safety

• MealBuddy is NOT medical software and does not provide medical advice
• Consult a doctor before starting any new diet, especially if you have health conditions
• Be aware of food allergies and ingredient lists — we cannot guarantee allergen-free recipes
• Calorie and macro calculations are estimates and may not be suitable for everyone
• Stop using the App if you experience any adverse health effects

Termination

• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms
• You may delete your account at any time through the app settings
• Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately

Changes to Terms

• We may modify these Terms at any time
• We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email (if provided)
• Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution

• Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration
• You agree to waive your right to participate in class action lawsuits
• Small claims court disputes are exempt from arbitration
